My Journey
My journey into interpretation began unexpectedly in 2014, when a friend asked me to interpret at his wedding for guests who spoke only French or English. What started as a simple favour quickly became a passion for helping people connect and understand one another.
Since then, I’ve interpreted in a wide range of settings, including events, conferences, business meetings, hospitals, legal appointments, and for international organizations. That journey eventually led me to create Lending Hand Interpretation with a simple goal: to help people connect when language might otherwise stand in the way.

With over 12 years as a professional interpreter, I bring extensive practical experience, professional training, and a commitment to continuous learning. I’ve had the opportunity to work alongside established interpretation agencies in Ottawa while also serving my own clients across Canada and internationally.
My credentials include CILISAT Certification, Medical Knowledge & Terminology Certification, Government of Canada Secret Level Clearance (Level II), and an Active Vulnerable Sector Check (VSS), available upon request.
I understand that interpretation often involves sensitive information and important conversations where accuracy and confidentiality matter. I approach every assignment with professionalism, preparation, and care, while remaining committed to providing accurate and culturally sensitive interpretation.
Why I Interpret
For me, interpretation is about more than conveying words from one language to another. It’s about helping people connect, understand one another, and feel heard. I’ve always had a passion for serving others, and interpretation gives me the opportunity to make a meaningful difference through my work.
Whether I’m helping a patient communicate with a healthcare professional, supporting a business meeting, or facilitating an important conversation between people from different backgrounds, I understand the responsibility that comes with being an interpreter. Every conversation matters and I’m proud to play a role in making sure language never stands in the way.
