Meet Jonathan Musuakala
Founder & Lead Interpreter

My Journey
My journey into interpretation began unexpectedly in 2014, when a friend asked me to interpret at his wedding for guests who only spoke French or English. What started as a simple favour quickly became a passion for bringing people together.
Since then, I've interpreted for events, conferences, business meetings, hospitals, legal appointments, and international organizations. That journey eventually led me to create Lending Hand Interpretation, with a simple goal; helping people connect when language might otherwise stand in the way.

Experience You Can Trust
Over the years, I've had the opportunity to interpret across a wide range of settings, including healthcare, legal, business, conferences, government, and community services. I currently work with four local interpretation agencies while also serving my own growing clientele, supporting organizations and companies across Canada and internationally in North America, South America, Europe, Africa, and Asia.
My professional credentials include the CILISAT certification, interpretation training from reputable institutions, and medical terminology training, along with Government of Canada Secret-level clearance. I understand the importance of professionalism, accuracy and confidentiality, particularly when working with sensitive information or high-stakes conversations. Every assignment is approached with the same level of care and professionalism.

Why I Interpret
For me, interpretation is about more than translating words from one language to another—it's about helping people connect, understand one another, and feel heard. I’ve always had a passion for serving people, and interpretation gives me the opportunity to do that in a meaningful way.
Whether I'm helping a patient communicate with a healthcare professional, supporting a business meeting, or interpreting an important conversation between people from different cultures, I know that my role can make a real difference.
